The aim of the screening service is to provide information to families and teachers about how your child is developing
If they are starting to or have developed generic school readiness skills, and to provide recommendations to support the child’s success and independence at school.
The tasks completed with the child during the screening are play and activity-based and reflect school skills that would be expected for their age.
The areas that the screen briefly assesses include drawing and writing skills, fine motor skills, cutting skills, motor planning and gross motor skills, visual perceptual skills, and sensory and behaviour observations. The screening takes approximately 30 minutes and can be booked in conjunction with your child’s comprehensive vision assessment.
